On Monday, March 25th, the Woonasquatucket River Greenway Improvement Project will begin on Kinsley Avenue (the road directly in front of Farm Fresh RI). This project has been in the works for almost 30 years and we are excited it is becoming a reality! More information about the project can be found on the City’s website here.
As part of the Greenway Project, Kinsley Avenue will undergo a transformation into a one-way street, directing traffic eastward toward downtown. This design includes a dedicated lane for vehicles and a separate lane for bicycles and pedestrians.
The project is scheduled to begin March 25th and be completed by late October 2024.
During the project:
- Kinsley Ave. will be open but one way traffic will be in effect.
- Farm Fresh RI’s building and parking lot will be open and accessible throughout the entire project!
- Detour signs are posted to guide you through the construction project.
Our suggested routes for all vehicles, including trucks, is below. A map of this route is also below.
- From the intersection of Dean St. and Kinsley Ave., head east toward the mall, and proceed onto Providence Pl.
- Make a sharp right onto Harris Ave.
- Follow Harris Ave. until you reach Sims Ave.
- Turn right onto Sims Ave.
- Finally, turn right onto Kinsley Ave., where you’ll find Farm Fresh RI’s parking lot on your right-hand side.
Our building will be open as usual during this time- we hope you come out to support local farmers and food businesses! We look forward to the completion of this project and are grateful to our neighbors at The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council for all of their hard work to make this happen!
